Solution to difficulties in accessing financing

On behalf of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, she welcomed the ingenuity of CCODEF in finding solutions to the difficulties of accessing rural finance, concomitantly with those related to identification and characterization of our many cocoa farms. Also, she opportunely recalled that the Producers’ Desk aims to make directly available to local cocoa and coffee producers, government grants on a mass or à la carte basis for the acquisition of inputs, equipment and infrastructure.

Loud announcements for producers

Still on behalf of the above mentioned Minister, Mrs. Clémentine Antoinette BEYENE made loud announcements for the benefit of local cocoa and coffee producers. She has thus promised the installation in the Southern Region of a state-of-the-art Technology Transfer Centre for the capitalization of supervisors, the establishment of Village Phytosanitary Treatment Brigades and the creation of Peasant School Fields (CPE) for production of quality and quantity beans in the region.

Call for general stakeholders engagement

“To my employees in the decentralized services, I call for a total dedication of our services, and an immediate deployment in the field for all-round awareness of this funding opportunity to our producers.” Through this serious tone, she then called for general mobilization, inviting in particular the direct and indirect actors of rural development represented in Ebolowa to do everything possible to make her considerable efforts available to producers more efficient.

Recognition of the Nation to producers

The Minister Delegate solemnly addressed to the local producers the recognition of the Nation saying: “You are the first link in the cocoa value chain. Your daily efforts enable our country to consolidate a privileged position among the major cocoa producers in the world.”.

“May you find in these words my encouragement and thanks for your unwavering commitment to the development of Cameroon. », she added.
