The 2nd edition of the International Symposium on Cocoa research began this Monday , 05 December 20220 in Montpellier , France .
The Administrator of CCODEF , M. Samuel Donatien NENGUE , takes part in the international Symposium on Cocoa , which is held from 05th to 07th December 2022 in Montpellier , France .
This global meeting will allow all actors in the Cocoa value chain to discuss the major challenges facing the sector , through plenary sessions , questions and answers sessions . Overall , exchanges will focus on innovations in support of market development and the promotion of sustainable cocoa cultivation to improve farmer’s revenues.
Clearly , it is a question of highlighting the challenges to be met for a better yield of the Cocoa value chain .
With this in mind , several questions and new approaches will be addressed in this case :
- The practises and innovative practises for sustainable production ;
- Soil fertility and fertilisers ;
- Sustainable cocoa and climate change ;
- Good agricultural practises and the physiology of cocoa.
With a cocoa processing and market development , the Symposium plans to higlight cocoa products and financing options for the cocoa value chain .
