Mr Samuel Donatien Nengue, Administrator of Cocoa and Coffee Sub- Sectors Development Fund has been in Rome since the 5th September, 2023 for a working session with the members of CAFI.

The institutional audience contained many issues. For the administrator of CCODEF, he will first of all meet the project management team in charge of accompanying CCODEF in the financing and support process for the Agroecological Transition Desk, which will start soon.

In this observation, Mr Samuel Donatien Nengue insists on compliance with the financial procedures applicable to CCODEF ; prior release of the resources proposed by CAFI and their allocation in the Fund’s centralising account at the Central Bank ; consideration of the needs of CCODEF in terms of capacity building, equipment and installation of the unit in charge of the Agroecological Transition Desk.

Secondly, the mission will be all about contributing in formulating the Cameroon government’s non-objection to the awarding of assistance contracts to MINEPAT for supervision and to CCODEF for operational support, by contractors under the partnership with CAFI.

Lastly, he will work to organize the transfer of CAFI resources to CCODEF’s Desks.

All things which materialize the imminence of the Agroecological Transition Desk in Cameroon. A first on a continental scale.
