The administrator of CCODEF Mr. Samuel Donatien Nengue, takes part, this Friday, October 20,2023, in the workshop of the 08th world Investment Forum held in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) in the presence of government leaders, global CEOs and other investment actors.
Organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the theme of this edition is investing in sustainable development. The World Investment Forum is the largest global platform for high-level dialogue and action on investment and development.
The first objective of this year’s edition is to produce strategies to meet global challenges for investment and development plans.
Thus, it is a question of mobilizing funding for climate action, food security and other development needs.
The speech led by the Administrator of CCODEF Mr. Samuel Donatien Nengue proceeds from an axiology; from sustainability to green financing, a pathway for sustainable growth in Africa.
The challenge for the Administrator is to establish partnerships with foreign donors to support the mechanisms implemented at CCODEF. This will enable cocoa and coffee producers to no longer rely on the sale of cocoa and coffee, but to have additional income provided from environment protection through the Agroecological Transition Desk.
